From the first day that students enter Kindergarten they are expected to begin making progress with reading and writing. Reading is such an important skill and students are supported through a systematic reading program in the early years of primary school. Students who are falling behind in reading are provided with additional support. Parents are encouraged to read with their children on a daily basis to ensure they become excellent readers.
